Best Spots For Kitesurfing Holidays Around The World

Indonesia is a worldwide notorious destination for surfers seeking for sublime and demanding waves across the 17,000 islands archipelago. It sits just in front of Kitesurfing Lanka and Blue Whale Resort, which is perfect if you are staying there. On the other side of the Kalpitiya peninsula is the Indian Ocean which offers an exhilarating 500m long wave that unrolls during the South West monsoon period, perfect for unforgettable wave riding sessions.

There are surfing spots tailor-made for anyone and everyone: flat water lagoons for beginners, wave riding spots in the Indian Ocean for the serious kiter, and fun kite surfing excursions to the more- than-a-dozen sandbanks and exciting little islands that sprinkle these lovely blue waters.

One of the best spots where I have kited so far. The flat water spot is better kited in summer thanks to the offshore SSW wind. Add the fact that even in windy season you'll often have to wait for the wind to come to you, there's still loads of time to get things done without missing out on the action.
